Q: Did you draw these yourself?
A: Yes. Well, mostly. A lot of the time my fiancee, Darkomi/Vernoncross and myself will collaborate on these in order to get them done more quickly. However the Luminae are my own brainchildren, and almost all of the design work and 'world' development has been my own. As they do share space with Dark's race, Truscan's, I have had to run ideas by them to make sure it was totally kosher.
Q: I want one!
A: Fantastic! I'm super excited, and I'm thrilled that you like them! Feel free to click the Get Your Own link above and fill out the form, I'll be happy to get you a price quote.
...But I want it for free.
Then keep an eye out for raffles through my fiancee's Patreon, or occasionally through my Weasyl, which are both linked in the contact me section. (Patreon will be linked soon, please bear with me until then). These designs can take me hours to put together, and I have bills I desperately need to pay, so I can't really afford to do this for free.
Q: May I use a Luminae as my Fursona?
A: ABSOLUTELY! This is a super flattering idea, as I consider sona's very personal to the people who use them and for them to like my designs enough to want to relate to them makes me squee. If you already own a Luminae, you've completed the first step of the process! Now just claim it as your sona by saying so all over your pages! If you don't own a Luminae yet, just click on the Get Your Own link above, and fill out the form as soon as you're ready.
Q: Are you a furry then?
A: I do not consider myself a furry, no. I fully know myself to be a human being, and am completely happy with that. I do have fursona's (two, Toxic and Rave) that you can find on my weasyl. And I do fully support the furry community, despite some loving jabs that I'll sometimes poke at friends.
Q: So I don't want a Luminae, but I do want a commission from you, do you do those? How can I get the information for that?
A: Go ahead and click the contact me link. I have my weasyl, DA, and email linked in there that you are welcome to contact me through. Both the art sites do have small price sheets, and both weasyl and this page have my Terms of Service on them.. You can also find several examples of commissions I've done on those sites. I'll be happy to get you a quote if you email me though.
Q: How do I <insert art thing here>?
A: To be totally honest, I don't think I'm the person to be asking this kind of information. I'm still learning a lot. But that being said. Just keep trying. If you're stuck on a particular thing, I recommend heading over to my DeviantArt account and browsing my favorites. I have saved several tutorials in there. Something else that has helped me personally? Lurk in streams. Spend HOURS in art streams. Watch what the artists do, study it, scrutinize it. Buy art books that reference facial expressions, animals, muscles, anything you want to draw you can find I promise.
If you're still SUPER stuck, feel free to send me an email. I'll see if I can find you a tutorial for the thing you're asking about, but I make no promises, even if I am totally willing to help.
Q: Are you going to be at <this particular convention in this location>?
A: Maybe one day. I don't have much money with which to travel, or pay for convention fees or...any of that. I'd love to go, truly, but until I have the income that's just going to have to stay on hold.
Q: Alright I'm curious, what in the world are Truscans?
*___* WHY I NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D ASK. Y'see, Truscan's are the creation of my absolutely talented Fiancee and you can find them right here 83 go check them out, I promise you wont be disappointed.
Q: Can I add you on steam/skype/trillian/some other method?
A: Knee jerk reaction? No.
I need my privacy, and I live a life outside of commissions, so I don't really add people on private messangers unless they're close friends.
Q: Hey I think this technical skill would really help your art out.
A: If you have resources to send me, jfc, do it. No artist is so good they can stop learning new things. I am confident in my art enough to say it is not bad, but I am not arrogant. Gimme resources and references! Gimme gimme gimme! (just pick a method under the contact tab <3)
Q: What art programs do you use?
A: PainttoolSAI is my god. I love it. If you can get your hands on it you should. (It should be noted I also use a Monoprice graphics tablet and I prefer it lightyears over my old Wacom, the pressure sensitivity is just better). I also have an old-ish copy of Photoshop, but I only use it for the purpose of adding text to my stuff. I also liked GIMP when I used a linux OS, so if you can't get SAI, GIMP is a decent alternative.
Q: Why won't you do those things listed on your TOS?
A: Some things just make me uncomfortable, some things I just don't have the skill level for. I'm not going to sell art that I feel is subpar, and I'm not going to go out of my comfort zones just to make some money. It's not fair to myself, nor to the commissioner.
Q: Do you stream?
A: Yes! Just not terribly frequently. I stream my art on Picarto, and my videogames on Twitch. Those will be linked in the Contact section of the website, so feel free to take a look. Heads up: as stated before I am opinionated, crass, and sandpapery. That being said I try to be nice to everyone and I'm genuinely grateful and thrilled when you guys show up in my streams. Feel free to come say hi!
